Two Coney Island brothers and their mother are thankful for the swift action of two NYPD officers who saved their lives after a fire broke outside a home last Sunday.

Body camera video posted to the NYPD X account shows the moment the two officer's with the Quality of Life Team sprung into action to save the boys and the family dog from the burning home on West 36th Street.

The Krupp family is thankful to the officers and the family dog Sherlock, a 4-year-old sheepdoodle.

“The police and the fire department were so brave, and came here so fast, it could have been so much worse," said the boys' mother Susan Krupp, who is renting the home.

The two officers were patrolling the area when they saw the flames. They hopped the fence to the backyard where the fire erupted. They then heard a dog barking, and were alerted to the fact that people were inside.

“I’m very blessed. Material stuff I can replace, I can’t replace my family," Krupp said.

There were no injuries.

A cause of the fire was still unknown as of Saturday night.
