The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports outbreaks of norovirus, which is the cause of the dreaded stomach flu, are getting back to pre-pandemic levels.
The thought is the lifting of many COVID-19 restrictions is helping viruses such as this one spread.
Some symptoms include vomiting and diarrhea. The best protection against norovirus is to wash your hands regularly, especially before you eat, disinfect touch surfaces and doorknobs, and wash produce -- since you can also get it from contaminated food.
