Enthusiast will be celebrating all across our world. I'm sure it's going to bring so many people into the city too. Oh, of course. And this morning news tell Samantha Cheney, she is outside in the Yankee Stadium where the festivities start tonight with a live concert. She's gonna be giving us more information on that event. Hey, Samantha Chris. Yes, that event is happening here tonight and I am so jealous of anyone who has tickets. I mean, you're seeing history and you'll be here seeing performances from some of the biggest names in hip hop. Now we're told that set list will include artists like Ice Cube Snoop Dogg. There will be Little Kim, Little Wayne and so many more. And they'll all be hitting the stage for performances. Tribute to the genre that changed their lives. Show won't be the only thing happening in our borough tonight. That's paying homage. Later this afternoon, the Universal Hip hop Museum will be hosting a birthday jam, a block party for the community, as well as a hip hop clean up happening around our borough hosted by the sanitation foundation. Today. All these celebrations will honor the people in iconic places that gave rise to a genre we're told has become much more than music out of the boogie down Bronx, but rather a worldwide movement. It's gonna be a busy weekend with the hip hop 15 I co-host the cipher called Legendary Ciphers. And we actually have a cipher tomorrow in Yankee Stadium around four o'clock. We're gonna do something outside of there. And now we want to hear from you guys. CELEBRITY BUZZ: Hip-hop producer, Bronx native King Amadeus

50 years of hip hop continues here on News 12. This afternoon. News twelve's aa mckenzie has a one on one conversation with hip hop producer and Bronx native King Amadeus, who's worked with some of the legends that built the culture to what it is today. He tells us how the boogie down, Bronx turned him into a multi platinum producer in the days leading up to the historic 50th anniversary of the birth of hip hop here in our city. We have been highlighting some of the people who are continuing to keep that movement alive. So today we're highlighting a multi platinum producer. Am Thank you so much for joining us here on News 12. Thank you for having me, you know, your family to me. So it's absolutely great to see you. Thank you so much for having me. Yes, I love it. I love it. Listen, we're like this. All right. So you have worked with some really big names recently and in the past. So how do you think growing up in the Bronx has helped you in your career because you still like, you just saw carry that energy with you. Yes. Uh I'm proud to be a Bronx native. I feel like it, it birth it not only births hip hop, but it also birthed me as a person as a being. Uh It's, it's one of the reasons why I'm so strong and so fearless. You know, if, you know, if you grew up in the Bronx, you know, you already know. It's definitely a tough area to grow up in. So for me to be involved in music and be involved in hip hop, uh I'm from the boogie down Bronx once tonight, Washington to be exact is what molded me and shaped me into the person that I am today. 100%. The Bronx is proud. I mean, you give back to the community. It's a beautiful thing and like we've said, you've worked with so many big name artists. Um And they're lucky to work with you. But who would you say is your favorite so far that you've worked with? Oh, you trying to stop trouble? Are you trying to stop? I'll give you a top three. I'll give you a top three. I'll definitely say Tray songs. I'll definitely say Chris Brown. Um And you know, Big Bronx Synergy and I definitely would have to go with J Lo Jennifer Lopez Jenny from the I love that. I mean big names right there. And like we said, you were contributing to the movement of hip hop. You were creating hit songs and classics that people know, um what is it to you to be involved in the genre and be a person that allows, you know, the street's voice to be heard and for people to really enjoy hip hop altogether. It's incredible. Um You know, as a kid when I decided that this is what I wanted to do, which is become a professional musician, a music producer. Um This is, was, it was all a dream, you know, and to have the opportunity 50 years later for, for me to be involved in music and in hip hop for 25 years. Uh it's one time time flies by really quickly two, it just shows you that, you know, you can do anything and become anything you want to be in life. So the fact that I can stand next to a Mellie Mell or Grand Master Cash, Grandmaster Flash, you know, last night 50 Cent at the Barclays sit up and these and these are my peers and these are my colleagues and my brothers and sisters, Remy Ma, you know, Fat Joe. It's, it's a blessing because again, I was a little kid dreaming of wanting to be a part of, of hip hop and wanting to be a part of music. So to really be a part of it and contribute in a great way and to be accepted and appreciated for my work is a beautiful thing. I mean, you are living the dream and it shows and lastly, I wanna ask you about this summer cleanup event. What are the details on that? Shout out to my brother Nova for putting this together. Uh The Bronx pre President Vanessa Gibson uh in the sanitation department. They brought this idea to me and I was, you know, I was definitely excited to be a part. It was like you sure and, and, and, and you know, there's a nice an event. Um they're including my book, the story about my dance and the beat goes on. So we're gonna do a book, read in the Q and A. But I was like, no, I wanna clean up. You know, I'm from the Bronx. Uh I'm from the, I'm from the city. I don't want to be that artist or that person not want to stand on the side and watch everybody hustle and, and work and work hard. I'm from work hard. I'm from the hustle. Uh and I'm, and I'm humble and I'm gonna be out there in my all black getting dirty, cleaning up my city, uh you know, bringing some cleanliness, you know, to it. So I'm excited to be a part of that.
