A cellphone video shows the frantic rescue by a group of good Samaritan of a man who had fallen onto the subway tracks in Brooklyn.
The incident happened Thursday morning as subway riders waited on the platform of the Avenue H subway station.
Dramatic cellphone video shows the moment a Q train approaches the station as a man is lying unconscious on the tracks.
Passengers can be heard screaming at the man to get up as others rush to flag the conductor down in an effort to stop the fast approaching train.
Liliana Vicente was one of the good Samaritans on the platform who can be heard screaming for the train to stop.
Vicente says the train eventually stopped, and that’s when she and two other passengers jumped down to rescue the unconscious man.
Residents say Vicente and the others are heroes.
The man was transported to the hospital in serious condition and is expected to be OK.
