Bushwick Charter School held its opening ceremonies Thursday offering all Brooklyn students equal education.An organization called Achievement First opened the fourth charter school in the borough. Officials from Achievement First say they are proud to offer equal education to every child regardless of their race or economic background. More than half of the current 177 kindergarten and first-grade students are African-American. One quarter are Latino.Parents interested in enrolling their children in an Achievement First School have until March. Bushwick Charter School says they are committed to improving the Bushwick community and becoming involved with its residents and organizations.
