Most churches and movie houses were empty on Christmas Day because of the pandemic, but it didn't stop everyone from hitting the open road.
For many, this Christmas started with services streamed online, but a small group gathered in Stamford at the Archangels Greek Orthodox Church.
Presiding Priest Harry Papa says it's nice just to see anyone at a service during these times.
"We're glad about anybody coming these days....even outside of worship ....it's just a joy to see people physically in the flesh, I can't tell you how special it is," Papa says.
Going to the movies is a traditional Christmas activity, but at the Avon for the first show of the day only one ticket was sold.
One place that saw a lot of action was the I-95 rest area where many say they suddenly felt the need to go somewhere.
"I think we just made a spontaneous trip to Portland, Maine. Eat some lobster rolls and take in the Christmas joy," one man says.
