City officials say a citrus smell that has settled over parts of the Bronx is emanating from a nearby natural gas plant.
The city's Department of Emergency Management says the release of natural gas from a utility plant in West Harlem is a routing maintenance procedure.
But many Highbridge residents say the smell is worrisome.
"It scares me because it could be dangerous," says Abraham Bah. "We actually don't know what it's about."
