City Council committees to hold joint hearing on LGBTQIA+ health care access

In recognition of Pride Month, City Council's Health and Women and Gender Equity committees will hold a joint hearing Monday on the state of healthcare access for LGBTQIA+ individuals.

The committees will discuss ways health care services and programs can be improved for LGBTQIA+ individuals in New York City.

City leaders will also consider several pieces of legislation that aim to improve LGBTQIA+ health care access, including requiring the signage regarding transgender rights and services at hospitals.

Monday's meeting is at City Hall starting at 10 a.m.
