City organizations unite to deliver thousands of freshly made meals to Brooklyn residents
The organizations City Harvest and God's Love We Deliver are now able to deliver more freshly made meals to people in Brooklyn.
GLWD moved into a new space at City Harvest's Sunset Park warehouse. They can now make around 4,000 meals a day from the new shared facility.
The food is tailored to meet recipients' health needs and is cooked, then frozen in their Manhattan location before reaching the warehouse.
Both organizations say the partnership is crucial to make sure Brooklyn residents get the food they need. City Harvest provides some of the food to GLWD and in turn they provide the food to City Harvest to deliver.
