Although school is back in session, the temperature across all five boroughs Friday felt like mid-summer.
This year marks the first time city pools will remain open past Labor Day.
Even as temperatures soared to the 90s, pools such as Betsey Head pool were completely empty.
Despite the tempting weather making for the perfect pool day, parents and students were busy in school and at work.
With the weekend approaching, many are expecting the pools to be more crowded.
The city pools will remain open until Sunday.
