Students in Brooklyn and the city will soon have a more difficult time feeding their junk food habits.
A new state audit says the Department of Education has failed to meet nutritional guidelines set by the federal government.
The DOE says it agrees with the audit's recommendations and will put stricter policies in place by fall. Among them will be a ban on selling snacks and soda in school vending machines after 6 p.m.
