As part of a citywide program to revitalize parks, Fort Greene Park received $3 million.
Before beginning work, city officials are asking area residents how the money should be spent.
Residents turned out to a town hall meeting Wednesday to share ideas.
Many called for improved drainage. The park has earned the nickname "Lake Fort Greene" due to frequent flooding.
Other residents called for replaced pavement, dog runs and a new jogging path.
The park is one of the oldest in the borough, dating back to the 1800s, and was a notable location during the Revolutionary War.
