One person suffered serious injuries, and a firefighter was hurt in an apartment fire in Coney Island on Saturday morning, according to the FDNY.
The fire was reported at 2926 W. 25th St., between Surf and Mermaid avenues, at 6:33 a.m.
The blaze was extinguished at 7:22 a.m.
One person was transported to an area hospital in serious condition, while a firefighter with minor injuries was also taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
