After around one-quarter of one inch of rain early this morning, we had a nice, but breezy day across Nassau and Suffolk counties. There is a mix of clouds and breaks of clear sky this evening. A quick rain sprinkle cannot be ruled out, but most of the evening is breezy, cool and dry.

It will feel like the low 40s on Thursday morning thanks to the wind not completely backing off just yet. It will be breezy all day on Thursday with a west-southwest wind around 10 to 20 mph. Overall, it will be a very nice day though.

In fact, all outdoor plans will be fine weather-wise through the weekend! That includes checking out some of the spotty fall foliage we have. We are seeing moderate color right now, but it is not a great fall foliage year overall.

It will stay dry and cool with diminishing wind Friday and into Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures will range from the upper 50s to low 60s.

It is still very early, but there is a rain chance for Halloween next Friday. That can still change though! News 12 will have updates on that each and every day leading up to the trick-or-treating holiday next week.
