Clown seen roaming through Green-Wood Cemetery
A person dressed as a clown was seen wandering around Green-Wood Cemetery last week.
The latest clown suit spotting was first reported by the South Slope News last Wednesday. The paper published a photograph allegedly taken by someone visiting the cemetery. In footage found on YouTube, the clown can be seen walking through the Brooklyn cemetery carrying pink balloons.
Anne Bourdon, of Sunset Park, says her father and brother are buried at Green-Wood and she feels the joke is uncalled for. "That's so inappropriate," she says. "I don't understand the reasoning behind it or what they hope to accomplish with it. It's just completely tacky."
The president of the Green-Wood Cemetery says no one at the graveyard has seen the prankster, but is promising to immediately escort any clowns off the premises if they do.
