Riverdale residents say they are losing sleep thanks to pets kept across the street.
Judith Veder says roosters owned by neighbors across the street have woken her up abruptly at early hours of the morning.
Veder says she confronted her neighbor about the issue and was told by her neighbor that the roosters were bought for her children as pets during the pandemic and that Veder should keep her windows shut.
"She has maybe three or four roosters, maybe 15 hens and every morning, afternoon and night they crow raucously," Veder said.
Veder says she just wants peace and quiet.
When News 12 attempted to contact the owners of the roosters, they did not appear to be home.
The Department of Environmental Protection tells News 12 this issue is not handled by their department. News 12 reached out to Animal Control for a comment but have not heard back yet.
