Here’s what you need to know:

A HEAT ADVISORY is in effect through 7 p.m. Expect extremely hot temperatures with heat indices up to 103 degrees. Stifling heat and humidity will increase the risk of heat related illnesses.
An AIR QUALITY ALERT is in effect 11 a.m. through 11 p.m. Pollution levels are elevated with AQI values over 100. People with preexisting respiratory issues, heart disease, asthma, the elderly and very young kids should limit strenuous outdoor activities.
It's a very warm and muggy start with temperatures in the mid-80s. Feel like temperatures are in the upper 80s.
Today will be day 3 of our first potential heat wave of the summer season. The dangerous heat and humid conditions with poor air quality will take us throughout today. Highs will be in the mid-90s. Record highs are less likely today. The record is 99 degrees setback in 1952 and we’re forecasting a high of 95 degrees.
The relentless extreme heat comes to an end this evening as temperatures cool down into the 70s.
An isolated storm is possible this evening with the risk of strong winds and localized flooding with any downpours.
Thursday will be unsettled with hit or miss showers and storms. Highs in the 70s, near 80 degrees. Friday will be even cooler with highs in the low to mid 70s.
