In honor of World AIDS Day earlier this week, a community AIDS walk was held Friday in Bed-Stuy.
The walk went from Antioch Baptist Church down Marcus Garvey Boulevard to the Interfaith Medical Center. While walking, participants chanted slogans to raise awareness about getting tested for HIV.
The walk was put together as a joint effort with the religious and medical communities, with organizers saying the only way to eradicate AIDS is to educate people.
