Activists in Gravesend tried to make a difference in children's lives with a career toy giveaway at the Marlboro Houses Saturday.

Community organizations helped give out nearly 300 toys like doctor sets, teacher sets, Legos and art kits.

Organizers say they hope the event encourages the children to set goals for their future.

Besides toys, people from different professions handed out the toys to teach them about their careers.
