People in Brooklyn say they’ve been experiencing power outages since Wednesday morning.

Con Edison says the outages are weather-related.

It says that when the roads are salted for snow, it can corrode the wires and cause issues.

As of 5 p.m., the Con Edison map showed 180 people in Brooklyn are still without power and that it is expected be restored by 8 p.m.

News 12 spoke with Bushwick resident Samara Lopez, who says she’s also been without power and heat since Wednesday morning.

"There was no heat in the morning, though, it came back later on and then turned back off. Yes, it will happen again. Me and my mother worry,” said Lopez.
