Con Edison is warning customers about a scam involving people calling customers and insisting they buy a prepaid card or else their service will get cut off.
After people buy the "Green Dot Money Pak" cards, the scammers steal money from the cards.
These callers do not work for Con Edison, and the utility company says it does not accept this type of payment.
