Rallies were held across the country this weekend as communities still grapple with Supreme Court’s landmark decision Friday to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Dozens showed up in Norwalk Saturday for a Rally for our Rights event, including Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Mayor Harry Rilling of Norwalk.
Local leaders say Connecticut is a state where abortion rights are protected, but November elections are crucial to making sure women in other states have protection.
Officials asked everyone to make a commitment and write down a promise, whether it's to vote or help others to register to vote. They encouraged everyone to vote for pro-choice candidates in November’s election.
