A speed camera that had been causing a lot of controversy on Shore Parkway in Coney Island has now been moved.
As News 12 reported back in September, frustrated drivers and elected officials said they felt like the city was trying to trap them by setting up the camera at the end of a 400-foot exit ramp off the Belt Parkway, making it difficult to slow down enough so quickly.
People in the area also complained that the camera was doing little good in that location because it is not a high pedestrian zone.
The camera's new home is closer to Ocean Parkway, which many say is a much more appropriate location.
