It was a record-breaking warm day Thursday in the Hudson Valley. There was a daytime high recorded of 81 degrees in Westchester County Airport. That temperature is more typical of late August as supposed to late October.

The warmth will linger into Friday but start to fade late in the day. After the rain wraps up, around 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. at the latest, the winds will pick up

A Fire Weather Warning (red flag warning) is in effect for Friday, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., for Westchester, Rockland, Orange and Putnam counties.

From Friday night into Saturday, temperatures will be going down.
