A Soundview woman was found dead last night after police say a man claiming to be her boyfriend called to tell them he had killed her.

According to cops, the man called them from a pay phone in lower Manhattan, claiming to be suicidal and reported the death in The Bronx. EMS then responded to an apartment on East 174th Street where the victim was pronounced dead.

Neighbors say the couple had been homeless before recently being placed in the building and that they fought a lot.

Police are still searching for the man who called them and the medical examiner is working to determine a cause of death.
