Brooklyn Council Member Lincoln Restler says hundreds of families at NYCHA’s Gowanus Houses were without running water Monday night.
He said on Twitter, “I’m on-site with tenant leadership pushing to get water restored. No timeline yet. Thank you to the NYCHA emergency workers on-site trying to help."
Restler also said hundreds of gallons of water were donated as water was being restored to the area. Mayor Eric Adams also appeared at the site to assist in the donations.
Water has since been restored to the facility.
