A car crash in Country Club is renewing a neighborhood fight for traffic safety changes at a dangerous intersection.
The latest accident at Spencer Drive and Kennellworth Place happened at around 7 p.m. Monday. Witnesses say a BMW ran a stop sign and sideswiped another vehicle, sending it through a yard and into a parked car.
Neighbors say the stop sign is blocked by a light pole and that there are no markings on the road signaling a two-way stop. They say they've been begging for a four-way stop sign or a blinking light for years.
City Councilman James Vacca (D-District 13) says the Department of Transportation is going to re-evaluate the four-way stop sign request at the intersection.
