As News 12 has reported, cases of
COVID-19 are on the rise again in the United States.
The American Academy of Pediatrics
says this past week there was a more than 6% increase in cases from the week
before.
The announcement comes as COVID-19
shots for ages 5 to 11 roll out across the country.
According to the White House COVID
Task Force officials, nearly 1 million kids ages 5 to 11 have already had their
first COVID-19 shot.
As a result of the outbreak, two
kindergarten sections are currently on remote instruction, which began Nov. 8,
2021, according to the superintendent.
News 12
