Officials say about 200 firefighters worked to battle a four-alarm fire in Cypress Hills Saturday afternoon.
They say the call came in at around 2:30 p.m. The fire started on the first floor of a private dwelling at 85 Hemlock St., and the flames quickly spread to at least four neighboring homes.
Five firefighters suffered minor injuries. No civilian injuries have been reported.
Once the fire was extinguished, crews made several searches in each of the homes to make sure no one was trapped or hurt inside. The Red Cross is offering help to those affected.
Fire officials say the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
