Some might say God works on the corner of St. Marks and Rochester in Crown Heights through Pastor Dwayne McLean.
"I just love doing what I do its a passion," he said.
Pastor McLean, with Supreme Warrior Ministry, sets up twice a week offering a sidewalk food pantry, hot food to go and free or low-cost haircuts.
Thursday several kids stopped by to get an edge up or fade ahead of school starting next week.
McLean said what they offer may not seem like much, but he said it makes a big difference.
"The need is real its out here its real, people are homeless, and a lot of people don't have, which is unfortunate," he said.
The sidewalk food pantry has been operating on this corner every Tuesday and Thursday for nearly six years and everyone from the homeless, single parents, grandparents are welcome.to come and get free fresh produce, flowers and hot food like hot dogs, rice and chicken.
He said he knows the importance of reaching people from different walks of life.
"Former gang member, I did seven years in prison, and when you do all that and you transition your life around for good, this is to inspire others to do the same," McLean said.
