CT lawmakers question head of Paid Family Medical Leave program over backlog

Lawmakers Thursday grilled the head of Connecticut's new Paid Family Medical Leave program over big delays.
The program launched in January. Workers can take up 12 weeks of leave, but some people say it's taken months to get approved.
The director said Thursday they received far more COVID-related claims this winter than they expected.
Some people also did not submit the right paperwork, according to the director.
