Curling finds new home in Brooklyn

For the first time in more than a century, curling is back on ice in New York City.  Commonly known as "chess on ice" and widely popular in Canada, the winter sport has a new home right in Brooklyn.

For the first time in more than a century, curling is back on ice in New York City. 
Commonly known as "chess on ice" and widely popular in Canada, the winter sport has a new home right in Brooklyn. 
The Brooklyn Lakeside Curling Club returned to the Lefrak Center in Prospect Park, forming four tournament teams. 
The season will end in March, but there are already plans for a tournament in 2016.
