A damaged mural of baby Biggie Smalls in Bushwick was repainted on Saturday.
The owner of the building the mural is on, Peter Marrero, said the tribute is “here to stay.”
He said a dispensary renting the space painted over the mural.
The famed rapper was from the neighboring Bedford-Stuyvesant.
The commemorative mural has been a staple in the community for years.
