Dancehall artist Powerman mourns son stabbed to death while heading to Brooklyn laundromat

A 25-year-old man was fatally stabbed in East Flatbush while on his way to a laundromat, according to his family.
Police say Christopher Davey was attacked near 882 Albany Ave. shortly before 5:30 p.m. Friday. Officers found him with multiple stab wounds to his torso.
Davey was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators are searching for two men who left the scene in a car driving northbound on Albany Avenue following the stabbing. Police said one suspect was wearing a white tank top and blue jeans. A description of the second man was not immediately available.
Davey’s father, Michael Davey, better known as veteran Jamaican dancehall artist Powerman, said Christopher’s mother had sent him to a nearby laundromat when he encountered the two men less than a block away. Two small bags of laundry could be seen left at the crime scene.
Powerman paid tribute to his son on Facebook, calling Christopher’s death the worst news he had ever received.
No arrests have been made, and a motive remains unclear. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
