Saturday marked the second annual Day of Remembrance for gun-related homicide victims in New York City.
All five boroughs joined in solidarity with cities across the nation to hold ceremonies in remembrance of fallen victims of gun violence. Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island gathered at their respective Borough Hall locations. The Bronx convened at Fordham Plaza. Family members read the names of those killed by guns this year.
According to 2023 NYPD statistics, there have been more than 300 shooting victims in both the Bronx and Brooklyn.
News 12’s Shniece Archer was there with more.
