Connecticut restaurants appear to be doing better business when it comes to other restaurants in the tri-state struggling during the recent wave of COVID-19's Omicron variant, according to new statistics.
Caleb Silver with Investopedia tracked the data through Open Table, a restaurant reservation app that shows how businesses are doing.
Silver says Connecticut has fared best among the tri-state area in terms of restaurant reservations.
The numbers started falling steeply in December, but reservations are up 9% from two years ago.
Silver says restaurants are so important for jobs across the tri-state area. Connecticut has a lot of workers in the restaurant industry. There are 97,200 people working in restaurants across the state, that is down 6% from two years ago.
