In this week's Deep Dive, News 12's Kristie Reeter is taking a look at back to the office plans.
When asked on Twitter, 45.4% of News 12 viewers said they plan to return to the office full time, while 54.6% said no.
With some people returning to the office, that means more commuting.
Does it look like more people are returning to work in their offices?
Caleb Silver with Investopedia says that it depends where you are in New York state.
New York City, for example, has a lot fewer businesses that are open, or companies that are accepting workers back into the workplace.
"The overall unemployment rate for the state is still 7.4% as of August, but if you look at Suffolk County, we are still seeing that down 18.1% in terms of people returning to the workplace," says Silver.
In Westchester County, traffic is down 23% from pre-pandemic levels. Nassau County down 27.3%, and NYC is down 30%.
Investopedia used Google's COVID-19 Mobility Tracker, to get these numbers.
