Are you already feeling a little seasonal slump? A vacation may be what the body and soul ordered.
News 12's Kristie Reeter takes a deep dive and looks to see where people are heading this winter.
Caleb Silver with Investopedia says while looking at Google mobility trends, it looks like this will be a staycation-type of season.
"When we look around the major counties of New York state, you know New York City is down 15.8% in terms of mobility. The other counties a little bit stronger. Westchester County the strongest of New York counties down 3.8%, but a lot of people sticking around and not really moving around much."
Trends also show people moving mostly by car, according to Silver.
"And when you look at the trains, the LIRR and Metro-North, those levels still down more than 40% from 2019 levels, so commuting is not back at all," Silver says.
