The owner of a Bushwick deli is hoping that surveillance video that captured a gunman opening fire inside his crowded store will help find the suspect.
The incident occurred at 1717 Broadway on Oct. 20.
Owner Shamsan Moazeb was working behind the counter on the day of the incident.
"The store was busy, a lot of people were ordering sandwiches. Some dude came from outside, he was screaming to another dude inside, ‘Oh you think I’m soft, you think I’m soft. I'm gonna see you."’
Moazeb says that’s when things got out of control. He says a man grabbed a bottle from the refrigerator and threw it toward the gunman, who then opened fire. The gunman told two bystanders, including Moazeb’s cousin, to get out of the way because he didn’t want to shoot them.
No one was hurt during the incident, but Moazeb says they've had situations like this before, including a month ago when someone shot up a window.

“So when we hear gunshots, we just know get on the floor,” he says.
