A Connecticut resident has tested positive for West Nile virus, according to officials This is the first case in Connecticut this season.
Officials say that the male patient is a resident in New Haven County, and that he is between 70 and 79 years old.
The Department of Public Health says he became ill the second week of August and was admitted to a hospital where he was diagnosed. He was discharged last week and is recovering at a rehab facility.
