An investigation has begun after a Department of Sanitation agent was caught allegedly issuing a fraudulent ticket to a Borough Park homeowner.
Homeowner Marc Katz received a ticket from a sanitation worker for mixing recyclables with non-recyclables in the trash.
A videotape allegedly shows the agent writing the ticket without actually even looking into the trash.
A judge dismissed the citation.
State Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-48th District) says he will introduce legislation requiring sanitation agents to photograph an alleged violation while issuing a ticket.
