A disabled Bronx veteran is pleading for help after the elevator in his building was shut down for repairs.
According to Charles Rodgriguez, he returned home after the New Year's holiday to find a note informing residents the elevator would out of service for more than 10 weeks. He says he expressed his frustration to the landlord, but was told that someone should carry him up and down the stairs.
CDC Management said in a statement, "This situation is regrettable, but unavoidable. As responsible landlords, we are making a substantial investment in the modernization of the elevator in the best interest of our tenants."
