A Bronx family is celebrating the safe return of a loved one and American patriot.
Ernesto Rosario Mignano was escorted by the Nam Knights in a motorcade from Newark Airport to the James Peters VA Medical Center in Kingsbridge Sunday. He was left paralyzed and unable to speak after suffering a fall and several strokes while in Italy in December.
Mignano's family says they've been trying to get him back to the borough for proper medical care. They say the Nam Knights were the only organization that volunteered to help escort him.
