DOB: Some tenants allowed back into collapsed Morris Heights building
Some tenants are being let back into the Morris Heights building that collapsed in December, according to city officials.
The Department of Buildings says the vacate order was lifted in the south wing of the building on Billingsley Terrace.
Families can return to 21 units now. The DOB says they started moving back in Wednesday.
Repairs are still being done to the north wing.
As for the tenants who lived on the partially collapsed side, some of them are in friends' homes or housing provided by the city. It's unclear when they'll be able to come back to the building.
