Killer in 2014 Brooklyn elevator stabbing of 2 kids dies in prison

The man convicted in the 2014 fatal stabbing of 6-year-old Prince Joshua Avitto and the near-fatal attack on Mikayla Capers in a Brooklyn elevator has died in prison.

Daniel St. Hubert, 37, died in December at Green Haven Correctional Facility, according to the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.

The cause of his death is still under investigation.

St. Hubert had been serving a sentence of 46 years for the brutal attack in the Boulevard Houses in East New York.

A community center in East New York still bears PJ’s name, ensuring his memory lives on.
