On the eve of World Diabetes Day, health experts are urging parents to monitor their children's health.
November is also National Diabetes Awareness Month. According to the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, diabetes has more than doubled in children over the last 10 years.
Experts say they're also increasingly seeing type-2 diabetes ? a form of the disease more common in adults over 45 ? in children.
Doctors recommend testing children and being mindful of what they eat.
