The Department of Education says a 5-year-old boy with autism was left at the wrong school.
The boy was supposed to be dropped off at P.S. 282 in Park Slope on Thursday, but instead was let off at a school almost half a mile away.
The DOE responded to the incident saying, "Parents should feel confident that their children are getting to and from school safely on our buses, and we immediately addressed this troubling incident."
The DOE added, "This morning, there was a new bus and attendant, a safety inspector on the bus and Office of Pupil Transportation staff at the school to ensure safe arrival. We will closely monitor this route."
