The Department of Education (DOE) has released a second and longer list of struggling Brooklyn schools that are facing full or partial shutdown.
Four of the Brooklyn schools could lose grades and nine more could be phased out completely.
The list includes P.S. 19 Roberto Clemente, General D. Chappie James Elementary School of Science, the International Arts Business School, Satellite Three, Middle School for the Arts and Junior High School 296.
Parents at P.S. 22 Elementary School, which also made the DOE's list, are split on the decision to close the school. A father told News 12 Brooklyn that the proposed shutdown is for the best, saying that his son isn't getting a good education there.
The list isn't set in stone, and some parents say they are going to put in a good effort to save P.S. 22.
