The Department of Education (DOE) is expected to release a second list of struggling schools in danger of shutting down after announcing 12 new school closures yesterday.
Seven Brooklyn schools are on the chopping block so far. They are P.S. 019 Roberto Clemente Elementary, General D. Chappie James Elementary School of Science, the International Arts Business School, the Middle School for the Arts, J.H.S. 296 Anna Gonzalez Community School, the Academy of Business and Community Development and Satellite Three.
Three schools are also listed for truncation again, meaning they'll lose their middle school and become either a high school or elementary school. Two of those schools are located in the borough.
