A Brooklyn child was attacked by a large, mixed-breed dog Wednesday morning as she was walking to P.S. 115 with her mother.
Witnesses say the dog bit 9-year-old Andrea Douglas in the face on Avenue M and East 93rd Street around 8 a.m.
Two minutes later, a good Samaritan jumped out of his car and pulled the dog off the child.
The Douglas family and neighbors are asking dog owners to be cautious about walking their dogs near the school.
The child will undergo surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center to repair facial injuries.
